About the Authors

Dianne Borsenik, former flowerchild and current redhead, is active in the Cleveland, Ohio poetry community.  She has had poems published in Slipstream, Rosebud, Lilliput Review, Nerve Cowboy, and The Magnetic Poetry Book of Poetry, among others.  As editor/publisher of NightBallet Press, she believes in the musicality of language, the originality of expression, and the commitment to excellence.  As fellow crew member on this starship we call “Earth”, she believes in the phrase “let me help”.

“(Why I Write) To purge demons, to coddle memories, to vent without physically damaging myself or others, to amuse myself, to ride time until it gasps--exhausted,  And to stamp this day with my imprint: I wrote this, I was here.”
     — Christine Howey

Jen Pezzo is a local poet and author of Imaginary Conversations, published by The Poet's Haven. Helping the homeless is a cause she readily supports, having been homeless for a short time     herself, as a child. Even though this was how she learned how to steal beanie weenies from 7-11, she never did and doesn't recommend it to anyone else.

Writing was my first artistic love. I am compelled to write, usually writing poetry. Since 8th Grade and after meeting D.A. Levy in Cleveland and Allen Ginsberg in Oberlin I have become an amalgam of everyone I have ever met. I’ve been deeply enriched by the Classic poets, the Beat poets, the Slam poets and all the editors, publishers, artists, musicians, students and co-workers I have met. I thank you for continuing my enrichment.
      — Ken Gradomski
