Writing Knights Press

The Best Time to Write is NOW! The Best Place to Write is HERE! The Best Person to write is YOU!

Prepare for the Apocalypse!

Barring any major Mayan-level catastrophe on Friday, Writing Knights will be celebrating the continuing world and the holiday season this Saturday December 22nd with a big end of year event.

Featured at the event:
Dianne Borsenik, former flowerchild and current redhead, is active in the Cleveland, Ohio poetry scene and is founder/editor of NightBallet Press. Her work has appeared in Rosebud, Ship of Fools, the Magnetic Poetry Book of Poetry, and Guerilla Pamphlets, among others. She has performed her poetry in four United States (OH, WV, PA, MI) and two altered states (coffeed and beerified). Discover more at http://www.pw.org/content/dianne_borsenik_0.

Colton Bose is an independent filmmaker and author from Cleveland, OH. His entire output of poetry, an ample portion of which is in the Writing Knights' published "A Stranger in the Alps", is written by way of the stream-of-consciousness.

Skylark Bruce is a twentysomething vegetarian progressive Christian who loves to bellydance and recycle. When she’s not writing or performing poetry, she can often be found in the kitchen cooking for homeless people or rounding up friends to play board games. Skylark is a member of the 2012 Lake Effect Poetry Slam Team, which competed in the Charlotte NC National Poetry Slam."

John Burroughs is the author of several chapbooks and probably best known for his work as the founding editor of Crisis Chronicles Press, or for co-creating literary happenings like the Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza and Snoetry: A Winter Wordfest. Still, he likes to think his best work remains ahead of him. Assess how full of shit he is at www.crisischronicles.com

Robert Miltner is the author of 11 chapbooks, including *Queen Mab and the Moon Boy* from Kattywompus Press and *Imperative* from All Nations Books. *Hotel Utopia,* winner of the New Rivers Press Many Voices Project book award, is a finalist for the Ohioana Book Award in poetry. He teaches at Kent State and the NEOMFA and edits the Raymond Carver Review and Quickly.

Akeemjamal Rollins placed 15th in the World at the 2012 Individual World Poetry Slam in Arkansas. He is constantly being hounded to put out a chapbook with local presses. Maybe one will snag him eventually.

Kathy Ireland Smith, a.k.a. Lady K, is a poet, publisher, artist and surreal photographer from northeast Ohio. She and her husband Smith are just back from 31 months of traveling in 10 countries on 3 continents. Kathy is also founder and editor of The City Poetry (www.thecitypoetry.com), a cutting edge art and poetry zine based in Cleveland.

Steven B. Smith has been a poet 49 years, artist 48 years, publisher of the ArtCrimes journal 27 years, and editor of AgentOfChaos.com 10 years. He and his wife Lady K just published a memoir of Smith's life and crimes "Stations of the Lost & Found." You can follow their excellent adventures at WalkingThinIce.com. The best of Smith's four decades of poetry and collage art are collected in the book Zen Over Zero.
